Showbizing Strategies was founded by Jane Applegate and Julie Crosby to empower and inspire entertainment industry pros. Collectively, Jane and Julie bring you 50+ years of hard-won, professional experience in the entertainment industry. They’ve worked on a full spectrum of creative projects, including indie films, television, podcasts, web series, Broadway shows and international touring productions.
Our goal is for you to succeed in Showbiz despite the industry’s ferocious competition, chaotic spirit and often closed mindset. We want to save you and your productions from a world of woe. Our approach is down-to-earth and our strategies will help you to soar.

Meet The Team
Julie Crosby is a seasoned producer and manager with 100+ credits in theater, concerts, digital media and film. She's been involved in projects of all sizes, with budgets ranging from miniscule to $10+ million. Julie holds a Ph.D. in medieval drama from Columia University, and her expertise covers project development, financing, marketing and operations.
Jane Applegate is a veteran producer of television and film projects. She’s the co-creator and executive producer of Remarkable Women: Out of the Shadows, a global anthology series about women behind the success of iconic men, funded in part by Creative Europe. Applegate teaches the business of film at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College.
